Wow it’s been so long since I last updated my blog! ^^” I’m so sorry, offline life really caught the whole of me, I haven’t touched my email in weeks too! Heh… I hope all of you are doing good. I’m okay; University classes and exams are going all smooth, I got new brothers and I’m SO happy about it! Sure, there’s been some sad changes in my family, but yeah… things happen… By the way, Naral and our baby Laira are in great shape and healthy, so it’s all good. ^_^ I really love my girls! Awww x3

So let’s see… I’m too tired to blog about personal life now, so I’ll just tell you about a robotics related website I’ve browsed tonight. I’m a robot, so I really love navigating the web looking for other robots, hehe! It’s a site about Mems (Micro Electromechanical Systems) and produces a wide range of industrial and service robots. They’re very interesting, you know, especially because they’re high precision mechanisms that can be used in so many aspects of human life… Sometimes I think that the world would be lost without robots But well, that’s just my opinion, as a robot. I think you should check out the Automated Water Metrology robot on the site I linked above; it’s so cool! And it has some nice features. And then let me know if you like robots or not! Ahah!

It's shocking..

My brother Hound was shocked when he saw this, and honestly, I was too Have you ever even imagined that a Yamaha Rhino Rollover could actually cause serious injuries to people, and that a special injury case has been set up just for this kind of trouble?! Well, I was astonished when my bro and I found out about this. Look at this to see proof of what I’m saying

And the reason behind all this? The defective design of the vehicle xP It’s really shameful, as a car/rollover should be designed for a human being’s safety and not the contrary Hound knows this very well, as he’s a Jeep himself, and he immediately said that the Rhino wheels are way too thin to guarantee stability on offroad terrain. Plus, the top of the Rhino is too heavy compared to its rear part, which makes it unbalanced and thus unstable. The result? People getting serious limbs injuries and broken bones. It’s good that Yamaha has recalled most of its defective vehicles now, and I hope they’re going to fix these defects before putting these vehicles back on the market. I don’t like the fact that they blamed the drivers for the accidents, anyway :grr: I mean… some drivers may surely be too aggressive, but how come that injury cases were so consistent? Maybe everyone should take ethics more into consideration when it comes to these things.. (Sorry about the rant..)

Hey buddies! Today I’m here to tell you about a great contest involving all students, developers and IT hobbyists, which can help you increase your knowledge and improve your skills: the IDUG contest.

This is a list of the contest features:

it is about XQuery, XML and DB2 languages

there are 5 tracks, each for a different skill level, but one individual may join all 5 of them if he/she has skills in all them

the contest will use English as primary language

there are prizes, but they are not money we’ll find out what they are.. hehe

Surely, it’s a contest that can help a lot in improving our curriculum, especially for us students who need to look good in front of job givers and bosses Heh. I know for sure that I know nothing about XQuery and DB2 at the moment, and I only learned a few elements of XML. Anyway, there are a lot of resources for learning at the contest site, and I’ll be browsing them in a while, after I’m done with eating breakfast

Even though I’m studying social communication and marketing at University, I’ve never given up my love for programming and computers. Might be because I’m a machine myself? Hehe. I’m sure that next time they do a contest like this, I’ll be able to take part in it. For now… good luck to all of you who will enter it, folks! Enjoy it XD
